Whisper Series |

|
Whisper wind turbines feature a patented side furling angle governor to protect the turbine in high winds by turning the alternator and blades out of the wind. Other features include field adjustable voltage, a four bearing spindle for efficiency, upgraded yaw shaft and a new bushing for smoother operation. Voltage is factory set at 24 Volts dc and is adjustable to 12/36/48 Volts dc. High voltage versions of the Whisper 200 and 500 produce 220 VAC transmitting to a step down transformer that changes it to nominal system voltage (transformer sold separately). High voltage versions are used in applications where there is a long distance from the turbine to the batteries.

The AIR is designed to be used in combination with photovoltaic modules to balance system energy output during times of seasonal fluctuations. The AIR is engineered to be mounted on a rooftop, no tower is required. The exclusive auto-brake feature slows the AIR to a silent spin when the batteries are charged thus extending bearing life and reducing noise. Features include an internal battery charge regulator, safety protection electronics, variable-pitch aerolastic carbon matrix blades, aircraft quality aluminum alloy castings, and only two moving parts. 3-year warranty.
With its unique patented upward-furling design, the WINDSEEKER will dependably produce power year after year, from low to the extreme stormy mountain top wind conditions. When most other wind turbines achieve their rated output, the over speed device begins to decrease its ability to produce additional power. When this occurs, output is cut by as much as 90%. However, WINDSEEKER’s output drops only 15%, retaining approximately 85% of full power, even in winds exceeding 120 mph. |
